The Belmont Hotel, Leicester

The Belmont Hotel is an independently owned and run 75 bedroom hotel situated on leafy New Walk, walking distance to Leicester city centre. It has been run by the Bowie family for four generations and this historic property was built by William Rushkin in the early 1860’s.

It provides a quality stay in Leicester which is a cosmopolitan city, ideal for short breaks - home to the National Space Centre, De Montfort Hall, to Curve, a £59m theatre and performing arts centre in the cultural quarter, a dynamic new shopping centre Highcross and it's also steeped in history. The Belmont Hotel is an ideal meeting place, just five minutes walk from the city centre, less from the railway station and only four hours by train from Paris.

‘The Belmont Hotel in Leicester has enjoyed a recent period of transformation and has seen significant investment over the years so that sumptuous decor sits alongside contemporary furniture as well as elegant proportioned rooms. The Hotel has 75 rooms and has been independently run by the same family for over four decades.

Hotel Accountant, Jenny French set about modernising the hotels existing IT Systems and concluded that a professional modern EPOS solution was needed to replace the outdated system.  ‘The decision was made to progress forward with Comtrex Systems as their application came out on top and unequivocally met all of our specified criteria especially with their continued development that gave us exactly what we need with regards to the interface with our current Hotel Property Management System.’
